KC Regional COVID-19 Response & Recovery Fund

A coalition led by The Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, United Way of Greater Kansas City, LISC Greater Kansas City, and the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC).

This Fund provides grants to nonprofit organizations that have experience supporting impacted communities — particularly those that are disproportionately affected by this global pandemic and its economic consequences. Donate Here Online

Reconciliation Services & Thelma’s Kitchen

Reconciliation Services continues to offer case management, food, therapy, and housing assistance to those facing homelessness. An initiative of Reconciliation Services, Thelma’s Kitchen is a donate what-you-can cafe. During this time, Thelma’s Kitchen is continuing to serve daily to-go lunches to our neighbors on Troost. Covenant Presbyterian Church Food Pantry

The Covenant Presbyterian Church Food Pantry is continuing to distribute food (without physical contact) to those in need. If you would like to support the Food Pantry with a financial gift, checks can be mailed to: Covenant Presbyterian Church 5931 Swope Parkway Kansas City, MO 64130.

Second’s Emergency Assistance Fund

Grandview Park Presbyterian Church Food Pantry

Grandview Park Presbyterian Church is located in Kansas City, Kansas in the heart of a community being heavily impacted by the financial consequences of the pandemic. The Church serves the neighborhood with a direct assistance fund and a food pantry. You can donate here through PayPal.

Uzazi Village

Uzazi Village provides postnatal care to the black community. They are currently offering virtual doula appointments, breastfeeding assistance, and diapers for mothers in need. You can donate here through PayPal.

Cherith Brook

Cherith Brook is serving those in need by providing sack meals four times a week. reStart provides housing and supportive services for youth, families, women and men to end homelessness in our community. You can donate here online.


Newhouse is on a mission to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing the tools that allow individuals and families to make positive choices and lead self-sufficient lives. During this unprecedented crisis, your support is needed now more than ever. Support Kansas City survivors by donating to the COVID-19 emergency fund.


Cross-Lines provides a crucial safety net for our neighbors in need in Kansas City. As a result of the current crisis, Cross-Lines’ Food Pantry is serving as many as 738 people in one day (they normally serve 300 families per month). Amethyst Place

The mission of Amethyst Place is to support women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, and their children by providing safe, drug-free housing and individualized services to promote healthy families. During this time, families at Amethyst Place are dealing with additional needs due to loss of income, job losses, increased child care needs due to school closures, and increased food costs.
