Downtown Bible Study

Second Harvest Hands
Harvest Hands is a group from Second that regularly volunteers at Harvesters Volunteer Outreach Center on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. The hours are 10 a.m.-12 p.m. All are welcome. This is a fun and rewarding experience. Lunch following our work is icing on the cake! Tuesday Morning Bible Study
Tuesday Morning Bible Study meets regularly on Tuesdays at 8 a.m. in Meeting Room A, Room 104. The group’s conversation, based on the lectionary, applies Biblical truths to everyday issues. Meetings last no longer than an hour. Join the group on your way to work or play, and start your day with a spiritual energizer (along with coffee and donuts).
The Thursday School class reads and discusses contemporary religious/spiritual books of scholars such as Elaine Pagels, Marcus Borg, and John Spong. Members take turns leading the book’s chapters for the week. The group meets in Meeting Room A, Room 104, every Thursday from 12-1 p.m. New members are welcome to come and be a part of lively, open discussions.
