1. How much is tuition? For the 2016-17 school year tuition is $214 a month if your child attends two days a week, and $321 a month if your child attends three days a week for the Early Years, Preschool and PreK classes.  For the 2016-17 school year tuition is $127.50 a month if your child attends one day a week, $255 a month if your child attends two days a week, and $382.50 a month if your child attends three days a week for the Infant/Toddler room.
  2. How do I enroll my child?  Currently we are enrolling for the 2016-17 school year.  Please call or email the director to check on space availability.  If there is space available for your child, you will then be asked to fill out and submit a Pre-Registration form along with a $100 non-refundable registration fee.  After that, there will be an enrollment packet for you to fill out.
  3. Interested in a career at ECLC? All positions are currently full, but if you are  interested in substituting or would like to submit your resume, please contact the Director of ECLC at eclcdirector@secondpres.org
  4. When can I tour the school? If you would like to visit, tours are given the first Thursday of every month beginning at 10am. Please email eclcdirector@secondpres.org to schedule your tour or to request a different day/time.
  5. How often do you go outside? Infant/Toddler & Early Years classes go outside twice per day for 30 minutes. Preschool and Pre-K classes go outside once per day for 45 minutes. In the event of inclement weather, we have an indoor play space for recess.
  6. Potty Training? Teachers have scheduled bathroom times during the day and will take children on an as-needed basis. Please refer to the FAMILY HANDBOOK for details.
  7. Do I send in snacks and lunch for my child? ECLC provides a healthy snack and a cup for water, but you will need to send a lunch from home. Please remember that we are a peanut-free facility. Peanut Policy
  8. How do you prevent the spread of illnesses? We require children stay home until they are symptom free for 24 hours, without medication. We follow State of Missouri standards (see FAMILY HANDBOOK ) for disinfecting classrooms, toys, and diaper-changing areas.
  9. Are you a licensed child care facility by the state of MO? We are a licensed exempt facility, but we have to meet all of the State standards. We have to pass fire inspection, safety inspection, and health inspection annually. Inspections are scheduled for September of each year.
  10. How do you prepare for an emergency event?  We plan and practice fire drills, tornado drills, and lockdown procedure with our staff and students.  In case of evacuation we would walk to Central Methodist Church, located at 51st Street and Brookside Boulevard, just north of Second Presbyterian Church. In any emergency, parents are contacted immediately!
