C3 Groups: The Value of Doubt
Come to learn, grow and connect with others in a fun, informal environment. Bill Tammeus’
book, The Value of Doubt, will guide our conversations as we consider the role that
uncertainty plays in developing a healthy, mature faith. Groups will begin meeting in mid-September.
Dinners for 8: Dining In or Dining Out
Get to know others at Second by getting together for dinner 3-4 times this fall. Pick the option that works best for you.
Parents’ Night Out – First Fridays, 6-8:15 p.m.
Drop off your kids and enjoy a night out. We’ll provide games and activities for your kids (ages 0 years – 5th grade) and some fun questions to help you reconnect with one another. Pre-registration required.
Parenting Small Groups
Connect with other parents to talk about life, parenting and what Netflix shows you can’t get enough of. Groups will meet 3-4 times this fall.
20s/30s Small Group – Time and location TBD
Connect with others in their 20s and 30s for Bible study, discussions and more.
Women’s Small Group
Come to talk about the intersection of faith and life. Sundays, once a month, at 8:30 a.m. Emails with topics are sent out ahead of time.
Disappointed with God – Three-Week Series
Aug 25, Sept 1 and 8, 11 a.m. – noon in The Gallery (formerly the Parlor)
Is God powerful enough? Where is God in the face of violence and suffering? Join us for this three-week class that will help us consider these questions and more. Led by Dr. Nancy R. Howell.
What Christians Should Know about Other Religions – Four-Week Series
Sept 29, Oct 6, 13 & 20, 8:30-9:30 a.m. in The Gallery (formerly the Parlor)
Religious pluralism is growing. These four session, led by a Muslim, a Jew, a Hindu and a Buddhist, will introduce you to these religions so you can be a better neighbor, coworker or schoolmate.
