The Third Day: Living the Resurrection
Eastertide Series: April 7-May 5

What does it mean to be an "Easter people"? How do we live the resurrection and proclaim the hope we've experienced in Christ through our words and actions? From April 7-May 5, the Covenant Class will explore how Jesus' disciples lived these questions and how we can too with the help of Tom Berlin's "The Third Day: Living the Resurrection" book. Books are available for purchase from the church ($15 or pay-what-you-can) or your preferred book retailer.

In The Third Day: Living the Resurrection, Tom Berlin uses his gifts of storytelling and understanding the Scriptures to connect the reader to the experiences of several individuals around Jesus in his final days, focusing on new life and redemption rather than loss. Join Peter, Mary Magdalene, and Thomas as they feel the despair of losing Jesus and the surprise and joy that awaits them in the resurrection. This study traces events around these characters, along with Paul and the disciples at Emmaus, and how the resurrection transforms their lives.

Why We Remember Monica
May 12-26

Her name was Monica.  We know her name because her son, Saint Augustine, told us who she was and what she meant to him.  It’s an age-old story…a story about the ambitions of youth and a mother’s “holy ambition,” about a young man’s wanderings and a mother’s steadfast love, about a man’s life-long quest for Wisdom and a mother’s perseverance in The Way.  Augustine could not tell us who he was without telling us who his mother was.  Join us at 9 o’clock on Mother’s Day for the first in a series of conversations about Monica and Augustine and the women and men who have made a difference in our lives…the people we always remember.  May 12, 19, and 26.  In the Library and on Zoom.  Led by Doug Hundley.
