Janelle has been a general hanger-on at, or about, Second since roughly 2013. She and her husband, Brad, have added four youngsters to their brood over their 20+ years of marriage. In addition to the kids, they care for 2 dogs and about 13 chickens. Janelle has served as an Elder and taught a few Sunday classes, albeit Miss Shirley has her beat in any kind of Bible trivia.

She has a passion for voter rights, advocacy, and access. She recently started her MPA at UMKC, and plans to utilize it to work on these issues and more. She serves on a not-for-profit board in her spare time. Give her a good book, a puzzle, or an estate sale to see a smile on her face. She also has a soft spot for hiking and board games with her kids.
