Maria has been a member at Second for about 30 years and has served as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon, musician, and member of various nominating committees over the years. She's dabbled in VBS, Journey to Bethlehem, connection groups, and decorating the sanctuary for Christmas and Easter. She and her husband, Steve, were married at Second, and their daughters, Leah and Cate, were baptized at Second and active participants growing up as well. Second is their second home and family. 

Maria also loves playing in the dirt in her garden, ending her day with a good book, and she cherishes time hanging out with her family. She works in marketing/communications at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of KC.
