Visioning Sessions
Dreaming & Discerning
After several years of transition, Second finds itself in a position to begin looking towards the future with creativity, joy and hope. Our foundation is strong. Our community is vibrant. It is time for us to ask ourselves, where is the Spirit leading us in this next season?
To help us dream and discern, we are hosting four different in-person visioning sessions throughout the month of March. Together, we will share favorite memories about what it means to be Second. We will brainstorm program ideas. We will ask big questions and dream big dreams. You can expect conversations in small groups, big ideas written on parchment paper, time to move about the room, and time to prayerfully check in with the Spirit.
To help us think strategically, creatively and faithfully, we hope you will join us as for one of these sessions. Every voice makes a difference.

Everyone! We want to hear from long-time members and new members, teenagers and older adults, those who worship online and those who join us in person. Every voice matters in this communal discernment, so we truly hope you will make an effort to us.

Kids are welcome to join our “Dreaming & Discerning” visioning sessions. However, if that feels like a bit much, we also will have childcare provided for the Sunday, March 23 session.

Congregational Survey
In addition to our in-person “Dreaming & Discerning” sessions, we are also launching a congregational survey. This survey is designed to get a bit more data from our community to help the session strategize and prioritize future plans. Whether or not you are able to attend one of the in-person visioning sessions, we hope you will complete this survey. Every response is helpful. Thank you for taking the time.
