Services & Events

Palm Sunday Worship /Sunday, March 29, 10:15 a.m. / Watch Live

Join us as we kick-off Holy Week together. In worship, we will celebrate with our children as they lead us in a Palm Parade. We will welcome new members (read more), and we will sing Hosanna together.

Maundy Thursday Dinner / April 2, 6:30 p.m.

On Jesus’ final night, he gathered at the table with his disciples and broke bread together. In honor of this moment, we plan to do the same.

Join us as we sing, pray, study scripture, break bread, and eat.

The night will start out full of light and love and will end with the dimming of candles as we move towards Good Friday.

To help us ensure that we have a seat for everyone, we appreciate your RSVP to Dinner Church

Good Friday / At-Home Liturgy

Designed for individuals and families alike.

Good Friday is one of the most significant days in the life faith- the day when Jesus was crucified. We know that the joy of Easter is not complete without acknowledging the grief of this Good Friday. To help you hold that sacred space, we will offer an at-home liturgy for prayer, reflection and centering.  All you need is a candle, a Bible, and something to write with.

Easter Block Party / Sat., April 4, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.

Everyone is welcome at Second's annual Community Easter Block Party! Join us for a morning of fun celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. We'll have live music featuring Sean McNown- a favorite Front Porch Concert artist, a bounce house, face painters, petting zoo, art projects, and a candy hunt! This year we will offer a hunt at 11:15 a.m. for those 3 and under followed by the big kids (4+) at 11:45.

Easter Sunday / April 5, 9:30 & 11 a.m. / Watch Live

Easter Sunday is one of the most joyful days of the year. Join us for worship at 9:30 or 11 a.m. in the sanctuary as we remember that love is stronger than death.

You can look forward to a brass band, full choir, the Hallelujah chorus, activities for kids, and beautiful flowers. Bring a friend and join us for Easter worship. Have other questions? Check out our Easter FAQs.

Flowering the Cross / April 5, before and after worship

As a reminder that life is stronger than death, one of our favorite traditions is that of flowering the cross. When you arrive on Easter morning, you will find an empty cross standing at the front of the sanctuary. Bring flowers from the grocery store or clip flowers from your own garden to help us fill the cross with beauty. Together, we will transform a symbol of cruelty into a symbol of beauty, hope and life. The more flowers, the merrier!
