Racial Justice Ministries is planning an intergenerational trip to Greenwood Rising Cultural Center in Tulsa, OK to learn more about the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. We will leave Kansas City first thing on Friday morning, grab lunch when we arrive in Tulsa, then tour Greenwood Rising.
Tulsa World reporter, Randy Krehbiel, who has written a lot about the history of the massacre, will join us for lunch on Friday to talk about Tulsa 104 years ago and Tulsa today.
We hope to stay at the Campbell Hotel on historic Rt. 66 Friday night. Cost will be approximately $200, which includes Greenwood admission (max $15), hotel room ($159), transportation, and lunch. As always, financial assistance is available.
Please register your interest as soon as possible, to aid our planning for the tour, hotel rooms, and drivers/carpooling.
