ECLC Classrooms
Second Presbyterian ECLC is a part-time program open to all children ages nine months to five years old. The program operates September through May, with classes available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our hours are from 9:00 to 1:30 with an optional extended care from 8:30 to 9:00 and 1:30 until 2:30. Children in our Infant/Toddler program (nine months to two years) may enroll in one, two or three days, depending on your needs and our space availability. Children in our Early Years program (two to three years old) may enroll in two or three days. Our Preschool and Pre-kindergarten programs are in session all three days.
Infant/Toddler Classroom
This classroom is for children nine months through two years old. The staff-to-child ratio is 1:4. Growth and progress of children are measured using the appropriate CDC milestone checklist: Six Months Nine Months One Year Eighteen Months
Early Years Classroom
This classroom is designed for two- to three-year-old children. The staff-to-child ratio is 1:8. Growth and progress of children are measured using the CDC milestone checklist: Two-Year-Old Milestones.
Preschool Classroom
This classroom is designed for children ages three years to four years. Children must be three years of age by September 1st of the current year and must be able to use the bathroom successfully and independently. The staff-to-child ratio is 1:10. Pre-Kindergarten Classroom
This classroom is designed for kids ages four years to five years. Children must be four years of age by September 1st of the current year and must be able to use the bathroom successfully and independently. The staff-to-child ratio is 1:10. Rainbow Room
This classroom is an enrichment room designed for all the children to experience additional art and music taught by a resource teacher. Children attend each day with their class.
