February is Black History Month. It is an annual celebration of achievement and history of African Americans in this country. Solidarity & Social Change will have Karis Harrington share information showcasing Black accomplishments in our community.

Karis is a nonprofit leader and community advocate who works at the intersection of faith, social justice, and Black economic empowerment. As Chief Operating Officer of Kansas City G.I.F.T. (Generating Income for the Future), she is committed to translating values into action by building systems, supporting Black-owned businesses, and creating pathways for sustainable community impact.
