Testimony: African American Artists Collective

This week’s recommendation is shared by Gwen Ervin.

I want to encourage everyone at Second to view the Nelson-Atkins’ current exhibit “Testimony.” In particular, take time to watch the videos in which artists talk about their lives. I found that I learned a great deal more about my own white privilege that brought me a level of self-awareness that I had not previously achieved. There is something about the rawness of these artists’ truth that will stay with you. You will be enlightened and challenged to a new degree by these works. It’s a good thing.

Testimony: African American Artists Collective” runs through March 27, 2022. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.
